This is a unique and special location for fishing. Campbell River B.C. and Quadra Island British Columbia are situated at a junction of several fishing areas which are different ecosystems and have different preferred times and techniques. To the north and east is hard granite carved into steep mountains, inlets, and narrow channels by glaciers such as Bute Inlet and Johnstone Strait. Often we fish deep right close to shore in calm water. To the south the land softens, the water and the view are wide. You could have the variety of fishing a different area each day or more over 3 days.
We offer trips that suit you. If you are focused on catching fish, so are we. If you would also like to see the sights, see wildlife, or experience the backcountry, we have a trip for you. We see a lot on our day trips and half-day trips. Yet there is more, and we offer more slices of west coast life.

It takes 2 hours to drive from Nanaimo to Campbell River or 3 hours 30 minutes from Victoria via Highway 19. If you have time for a more leisurely drive you may want to take Island Highway which will provide wonderful views of the coastline.
