Whistler offers year round activities for visitors and is growing in popularity year after year because of the wide ranging list of things to do. Whether you are here to simply take in the mountain air and the scenery or you are here for an adventure of a lifetime then Whistler is the first choice!

hike whistlerHiking and Walking: many people visit Whistler to simply get away from the madening crowd of busy city or suburban life. Whistler offers many options and degrees of difficulty. Find Lost Lake! Where's Lost Lake? Take the kids, the grandparents, the family dog and trek along the trail from the Village to this isolated oasis with a beach, picnic tables, and mountain views tucked into the forest.

Hike Whistler Mountain: (summer only) there are over 45 km of hiking trails on Whistler Mountain. They are open from July to September depending on snowpack levels. Some hikes are longer or more challenging than others so be sure to consult a Whistler Mountain hiking map before you go.

The Whistler area is bursting with trails, hikes, climbs, and secret pathways that can take you into a pristine natural wonderland. bearsWander past babbling brooks, over a suspension bridge, and through a field of colourful wildflowers. Some routes are minutes from the Whistler Village, while others take you up to the peaks of snow-capped mountains. Don't forget your camera so you can capture those stunning views!

Why not take a helicopter to a remote hiking location, you can even trek the back routes with a personal guide who can tell you about the local wildlife with a nature hike. If you prefere you could take an overnight in the high alpine, and for the more adventurous trekker clamp it on and march over glaciers.

Indoor Activities: perhaps the great outdoors is not for you! don't worry Whistler has you covered. With spas and yoga classes to souvenir making and theatre shows, Whistler has several indoor activities to keep you busy. Art Galleries, Brewery Tours - Whistler's Brewhouse Pub offers personalized tours of their microbrewery. Learn about the technology that makes great beer. It's a fun event for the whole family.

1st nations centreThe First Nations Cultural Centre: The brand new centre is due to open in 2008 an estimated 30,400 square feet in total, including both indoor and outdoor space, anchored by the monumental Great Hall. Open to the public, the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre will be a world-class authentic cultural centre to celebrate the joint history of the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations, past and present, by showcasing their histories, creative works and cultures. Some of the highlighted visitor experiences will be: A cultural experience combining theatrical performance, interpretive centre, permanent and temporary exhibits and demonstrations, A gift shop featuring unique products to the Squamish, Lil'wat, and other First Nations peoples, An eco-tour booking centre, An arts and crafts demonstrations centre featuring local aboriginal arts.
