Welcome to White Rock

White Rock, a quaint oceanside community is just 45 minutes south of Vancouver and minutes from the Douglas border crossing and Peace Arch park.  White Rock is on the Semiahmoo Peninsula and is known for its year-round mild climate. With 5 miles of sandy beaches there is lots of exploring adventure to be had. Visit the promenade with shops and magnificent views of the Bay. The Promenade is an historic pier that stretches out over the water for 1,500 ft.

Many visitors come to White Rock for the beach, the promenade, the ocean and the views, but there is also golfing with at least a dozen courses nearby, horseback riding, the White Rock Museum located in an historic train station and is home to many artists who display and sell their work along the shore.

Many buildings have murals and of particular note is the 69-ft “Whale Wall” mural, which greets visitors as they enter White Rock off Johnson Road. The Whale Wall is also the site of White Rock’s renowned Farmer’s Market, which is open Sundays from June to October.

White Rock is most famous as a resort town but also hosts the yearly Festival of the Sea, which celebrates life along Semiahmoo Bay, with a parade, sand-castle competition and fireworks. A free air show held each August, features the legendary Canadian Air Force Snowbirds and other aerobatic teams. Visitors waterfront restaurants and the beaches to gaze at the planes in action.
